Mosaic totem artist application

We have 3 additional sites for the Island Mosaic Totem Public Sculpture Project!

This Call for Artists is for Island Arts Council Members Only.

This Call for Artists is seeking 6 artists to make a mosaic totem that reflects the nature of the selected site. Each site includes 2 Artist and 1 Community totems.

Sites:

• Carolina Beach Marina
• Carolina Beach Lake Park Rainbow Bride
• Ft. Fisher Historic Site

Selected artists will receive a stipend of $300, a Free artist mosaic workshop, and a starter tool kit.

This community-collaborative project allows Island Arts Council members to learn new artistic skills, install their work on the island, and give back to the community.  Participating artists will commit to assisting at least one (1) Community Workshop to help participants build the Community Mosaic Totem.

This is an ongoing project and we anticipate installing many of these sculptures around the island over the years!
