The 2024 Island Arts Festival is on Hiatus this year. The Council is working on several large events and need to focus our limited resources on these.
Art In the Yard will be held May 4th and 5th. Please see more information about this.
We have several smaller venues planned throughout the year - Popup Galleries and Rotating Exhibitions. Please check these out too.
Go to our Calendar of Events to see upcoming events and programs.
Thank you
The festival was founded in 2011 by local artists and art enthusiasts and continues to grow and change with new artists and activities. The Carolina Beach Street Arts Festival has become well renowned and draws thousands of visitors from as far away as Boone, NC, Myrtle Beach SC, Charlotte NC, Beaufort and the Outer Banks, as well as from our local Greater Wilmington area.
This Festival is a celebration of the arts with a mission to provide a rich venue for the artists to exhibit their fine arts and crafts.
The Festival’s objective is to increase appreciation, support and sales of art by involving the public in the creative process through demonstrations hands-on-programs and access to art in different media.
This year's theme "I am Art" makes YOU part of the art with fabric artists, interactive performances, costume art and much more.
There are many changes planned for the 2023 Carolina Beach Street Arts Festival. The first Big change is our name to "Island Arts Festival"! This better reflects the celebration of our Island creative community.
And we have added another day for the festivities.
May 5th Gallery Night at St. Paul's UMC Events Venue, 5pm to 9pm. Indoor exhibit of fine arts, fine crafts and specialty culinary arts.
May 6th Festival at the Lake on Carolina Beach 10 am to 4 pm
Over 100 Visual, Performing, Culinary artists will come together for this 2 day event. There is something for everyone from gallery exhibit, hand-on kids crafts, demonstrations of creative processes and local performers.
