Venus flytrap on parade
Carolina Beach Elementary School
Melony Connor, art teacher, led the children to create and paint their Venus Flytrap Statue.
Our Venus Flytrap Sculpture was inspired by our island school being near the sea and all that we learn at CBES.
Fourth graders, Clara, Ella and Audrey created the drawings for the front and back!
Our kindergartners made handprints for the base of the sculpture!
Our “CBES Sea Star Island Life” tells a story of entering school as a kindergartner and learning to be a Sea Star near the beach.
All the subjects we study and the school supplies we use are represented as we are always near the Sun and the Moon and inspired by nature and marine life!
We are thrilled they all are Part of the Arts.
The statue is in the school's garden.
